The grinding material is comminuted by pressure and shearing loads between two counteracting grinding disks with coarse interlocking teeth. The gap between the two grinding disks can be adjusted externally - even during operation - and determines the fineness of the end product.

The standard equipment delivered with the Disk Mill PULVERISETTE 13 does not include grinding disks. Grinding disks are offered in 4 different materials and must be ordered as accessories.

Especially for iron-free grinding, the Disk Mill PULVERISETTE 13 can be ordered with a complete polymer coating inside of the grinding chamber. The polymer coating has to be ordered separately order no. 13.1090.16
